Janet Hubert was hospitalized over the weekend for unspecified reasons — an experience that triggered thoughts about her former feud with “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” star Will Smith. In a post that has since been deleted, she revealed the news to her fans while encouraging them not to harbor feelings of anger and resentment toward people who have committed wrongdoings.

“Don’t waste precious time people in anger,” the actress wrote on her public Instagram account. “Yes people will do you wrong a[n]d you must fight for truth no matter how long, and IF you can get the TRUTH you seek…find love again as we have. Life is too short as I am in [the] hospital as I write this to all of you. Holding onto anger will eat you alive. But truth at any cost, Reputation is PRICELESS.”

She continued on with a personal message to Smith, declaring an end to their years-long tension. “I LOVE YOU WILL for being strong enough to tell truth and share your hurts and trauma,” wrote Hubert. “Now we close the doors and live our lives PEACE OUT!”

Hubert has long been open about her struggles with finding a job after her departure from the “Fresh Prince.” According to the actress, Smith caused many to believe she was difficult to work with, prompting rejections, suicidal thoughts and years of hateful comments spewed against her. The two eventually hashed out their differences on the reunion special honoring the 30th anniversary of the 90s sitcom, and Hubert received an apology from the King Richard star.

Last week, while attending the “Will Smith: An Evening of Stories with Friends” event hosted at Kings Theatre in New York City’s Brooklyn, the actor encouraged the audience to cheer for Hubert, who was in attendance. “Stand up, Janet. Get your flowers!” Smith said. “Take it in! Take that in!” The actress then enjoyed a two-minute standing ovation from all of the fans.
