Today (Dec. 3), Polo G officially unleashes the sequel to his Hall of Fame project. As a body of work that did a lot for his career, Polo knew he had to come hard for its successor, and he didn’t disappoint. To preview how epic the project would be, he unveiled his single “Bad Man (Smooth Criminal)” prior to the album’s release. The track contains a coveted sample of Michael Jackson’s classic record “Smooth Criminal.” On the song, Polo G pays homage right from the first bar:

Sm ooth criminal, Mike Jack and I still like to tote a .45 like Mike back/ Pull that TEC out just to make a statement, he gon’ need a body bag or a night sack/ He a bitch, he’ll fold under pressure/ I can tell from his posture, man, he ain’t really like that

Mama told me, “I don’t care if you scared”/ “Go in for the kill, if they try, you better fight back”/ We’ll beat his ass if he try to throw the folks up/ What’s all that shit you was sayin’ like you was so tough?

Along with the new project, Polo G shared a clip describing what his last three projects meant for his career and why he felt the need to drop a second version of HOF. A few months ago, Polo G blessed the world with his third studio album Hall of Fame, which sees 20 tracks with additional assists from Roddy Ricch, Lil Durk, Lil Wayne, G Herbo, Rod Wave, DaBaby, Young Thug, Nicki Minaj, Pop Smoke, and more. The project has proven to be his biggest to date, landing him his first number one on the Billboard 200 thanks to 143,000 album equivalent units sold during its first week of release.

Be sure to press play on Polo G’s brand new Hall of Fame 2.0 project.
