It’s been an impressive year for 804 Nano. Back in April, the Petersburg talent released the well-received project Anaconda Vice, which was hosted by 106.5 The Beat’s Kool DJ Foot and saw notable collaborations alongside Fresh Porter, Mari2x, Gsambo, Tkay Tkay, TV Tae, and Cheatcode Blacc. Anaconda Vice also spawned the singles (and videos for) “Neck of the Woods” and “Hood Baby.”
Back in September, Nano returned with a hard-hitting drop “Buss It,” giving his fans hope for a new body of work. Fast-forward to last month, when he blessed the masses with Real As They Kome, a 12-track effort that contains the bass-heavy, no frills raps that he’s quickly becoming popular for. Added to that is an in-studio visual for the opening track “Redi Rock,” which sees production from Rome On The Beat and serves as a message to anyone who’s inquiring about 804 Nano’s current lifestyle:
“What they talkin’ bout nigga, we in the trap, got the stick in the middle, act like you know just who runnin’ the city, act like you know who the cat with the realest…”
Via statement, Nano spoke more on Real As They Kome, as well as everything behind its creation:
“This process took countless long nights. Seen too many friends lose their life or serve time behind the wall. So many people hated on me, not knowing I would give them the shirt off my back. Everything I’ve been through brought me here to this moment. I laid out all my emotions. I’ve overcome so much since I broke on the scene. I’m here to stay. This is for my city; for my guys that told me to never give up but aren’t here to see me win. I will always remain real. Real as they kome.”
