Bow Wow revealed that JAY-Z’s 4:44 album helped him learn how important having good credit is — and he wants everyone to know about the benefits of financial literacy so it could be taught to our children.

On Tuesday (Nov. 16), the “Let Me Hold You” emcee took to his Instagram Stories to share his thoughts. “We gotta start teaching the youth early about credit and how important it is,” he wrote. “It’s cool to have cash, but with good credit … man the world is yours! Nothing like looking at all 3 scores and you a 730 or better!!!! Learn the importance of having good credit! Trust me.”

He added, “Can’t lie JAY-Z 4:44 album got me on my shit and I ain’t never looked back.”

Hov dropped several financial gems on his 2017 release. In particular, he stressed the importance of having good credit and being financially free. On “The Story of O.J.,” he rapped, “You wanna know what’s more important than throwin’ away money at a strip club? Credit.”

On the track “Legacy,” the Brooklyn MC rapped about providing generational wealth for his children. He suggested that his oldest daughter Blue Ivy should consider starting an institute to “put poor kids in school” and use a big portion of her resources to “fund ideas from people who look like we.”

Nonetheless, 4:44 opened a lot of people’s eyes to a lot about financial literacy, which could be a reason why Bow recently said that he no longer wanted to rap. Aside from hosting the official podcast for FOX’s “The Masked Singer,” he recently revealed that he wanted to release a sequel to the 2002 film Like Mike.

“We are working on a Like Mike sequel,” the “Shortie Like Mine” rapper tweeted. “It’s all just ideas as of now. But yes, we have been talking. So far, so good.”
