Polo G is no longer facing several charges in relation to an incident that took place over the summer with police in Miami, Florida.

According to TMZ, prosecutors dropped two felony charges — battery of a police officer and threatening a public servant — against the “Martin & Gina” rapper. His misdemeanor charge for criminal mischief was also dropped because prosecutors were unable to find enough evidence to move forward with the case on those three charges. Polo is still facing two misdemeanor charges for resisting an officer. However, TMZ reports that those may get dismissed as well.

Back in June, Polo, whose real name is Taurus Tremani Bartlett, was arrested following a traffic stop as he was leaving his album release party for Hall of Fame.

Stacia Mac, Polo’s mother and manager, tweeted about the incident, alleging that authorities stopped her son because he’s Black. “None of these charges would be possible if the POLICE did not make contact with my son Polo G!!!” she tweeted. “He was NOT the driver. He was a PASSENGER in a professionally licensed vehicle with security. He was moving smart and correctly. What more could he have done?”

Authorities later claimed the Chicago native attacked them and placed him and other members of his team under arrest. Polo was released from jail later that day after posting a $19,500 bond.

Aside from his legal drama, Polo is gearing up to release a deluxe edition of his No. 1 third studio album titled Hall of Fame 2.0. The deluxe project will feature his new single “Bad Man (Smooth Criminal),” which is a modern take on the classic Michael Jackson song. He is also prepping to hit the road for his “Hall of Fame Tour,“ which is set to kick off on Nov. 19 in Kingston, Rhode Island.
