As the Houston Police Department continues to investigate the chaos that occurred at Astroworld Festival inside of NRG Stadium Friday (Nov. 5), attendees have painted a grim picture with their frightening social media posts.

“My job as the chief of police is to make sure that we find out what happened. We will treat it as an investigation because we don’t know…” HPD chief Troy Finner told reporters early Saturday (Nov. 6) morning. “I have investigators out here on the scene. I’m sending investigators to the hospitals because we just don’t know and we will find out…. It’s not fair to the producers to anybody else involved until we determine what happened, what caused the surge. We don’t know but we will find out. And is there anything criminal? We’ve heard rumors of people injecting some people with drugs, so I want to check all of that out.”

Meanwhile, on Twitter one attendee described the festival as “the most scariest show I’ve ever attended.” “Over 100 bodies had to be taken to the paramedics… people were also selling laced pills and others were having epilepsy seizures,”one person tweeted.

“I did CPR on more people today at AstroWorld than 7 years in the Marine Corps..” @brownsugarlucas tweeted.

“Ppl were literally screaming bloody murder asking for help right there. #AstroWorld #ASTROFEST rip to all those who lost their life last night, it’s shouldn’t have turned out that way,” wrote @tre5pix.”I just wanna thank the 2 random strangers that dedicated their lives to try and help me off the floor, i was really stuck on the ground for 2 songs and all i could think was that i was done for in this crowd. Truly thankful,” he added.”

Another user tweeted, “I’m disgusted with how things were handled tonight. THE MEDICS WERE UNDERSTAFFED AND UNDERTRAINED. I saw people die before me and i heard people crying in disbelief of what they were seeing.”

Another tweeter who goes by @officialshaane said Astroworld Festival felt like “a concert in hell.” “You couldn’t breathe, you couldn’t see. Just imagine all the people they’re going to find tonight who was in that crowd who nobody could see, who nobody could here, who passed out and everybody was just trampling on top of them the whole fucking concert. I’m thinking there’s probably going to be at least 100 people who’re dead tonight.”

One Twitter user, who goes by @antoeknee407 tweeted, “They were so understaffed and undertrained. I witnessed two deaths and I am disgusted that people really recorded it and are posting it on Twitter.”

In one very detailed post from Instagram user @seannafaith, the festival attendee explains how “within 30 seconds of the first [Travis Scott] song, people began to drown – in other people.” “There were so many people. Tall men, women, Women and men where the only thing they could see was the back of the person in front of them. The rush of people became tighter and tighter. Breathing became something only a few were capable of,” she wrote. “We begged security to help us, for the performer to see us and know something was wrong. None of that came. We continued to drown. More and more. One person fell, or collapsed. It doesn’t matter how it started. Once one fell, a hole opened in the ground. It was like watching a Jenga Tower topple. Person after person were sucked down… I was shoved further to the ground, my face down at the cold, had plastic below us, and saw the body of a man. His face below mine. I lost it. There were people below he ones I could see from above. There was a floor of bodies, of men and women, below two layers of fallen people above them.”
