Last night (Nov. 1), AzSwaye dropped off his The Lazarus Effect EP. The South Central-based rapper tapped in with Rucci and Cozz for his new four-track body of work. One standout track is the project’s outro, the Cozz-assisted “Make It Home” record. To set the tone for the track, AzSwaye takes the reigns with his smooth bars over a somber beat:

Late night, just hope we make it home, I just got a lot up on my plate, leave me alone/ You don’t wanna feel how I feel, since you ask me how I feel, every time it gives me chills/ You just gotta tell me you love me, I’m in a feel, forreal/ I could play so bae give me a kiss, right before I leave

You know I got it on me, of course, cause homie’s say they love you but the phony/ All my players know to keep it real, be paralyzed the same just how we feel/

Prior to this, AzSwaye presented two projects last year: Tink World 4 Life and Throw Awayz 4. He also repped his talent well on peers’ projects this year by providing assists on albums like Rucci and 1takejay’s The Winning Team and Rucci and AzChike’s Kourtesy of Us.

In terms of what Cozz has been up to, he just dropped off his latest single “Fortunate” a few weeks ago. He also went on to explain how this new offering is a way to show off the different sides of him as an artist, as it’s a signal of new era. “This is a new version of Cozz but also still me so I’m excited for y’all to hear my range as an artist. Fortunate to share this one with y’all. This is only the beginning and once this starts I ain’t stopping,” he wrote. Before that, Cozz’s last official full-length body of work was 2018’s Effected, and which came after Cozz & Effect. In the meantime, he could be heard dishing out show-stopping verses on the infamous Revenge of the Dreamers compilations.
