Cardi B opened up about her delivery and post-pregnancy life after welcoming her son into the world last month. The 28-year-old rap star shared an Instagram Story update on Thursday (Sept. 30), in which she addressed fan claims that she’s had surgery since giving birth.

“People have been giving me amazing compliments on my body. I think it’s because, right now, I got some amazing hips due to my gorgeous son because he was sitting so low,” Cardi said. “You know, when your baby’s low, your hips spread.”

The rapper further said fans have been complimenting her waistline, but denied she’s had any work done.

“Everybody’s like, ‘Cardi, you so snatched. You had lipo? You had a tummy tuck?’ You cannot do surgery after you give birth, especially me,” Cardi explained, adding, “I lost so much blood, guys. One day, I’m going to tell you guys about my crazy ass delivery.

The mother of two also urged other new moms to “be patient” with their post-delivery bodies.

“To be real with you guys, my skin is still loose and I still have a pouchy-pouch right here… But fuck it. Take y’all fucking time,” she said. “It’s really hard dealing with kids, especially when you [have] two kids after giving birth.

Earlier this week, Cardi also revealed to fans she’s been “crying for no reason” since having her son. “Can’t wait till these weird postpartum hormones completely leave my body,” she tweeted.

Cardi stepped out in public for the first time since giving birth this week at Paris Fashion Week. The “Rumors” rapper turned heads with several stunning high-fashion looks and took fans along for her travels via her Instagram Story.

Cardi first announced that she was pregnant with her second child on Instagram, writing in a post, “No. 2! We listened to each other, communicated, prayed and then God blessed us and our family with another little blessing. Our home feels so blissful and very busy, but we are ready and so happy.”
