San Francisco rapper G-Eazy has reached an impressive level of success in his career thus far. Since the release of his major label debut album These Things Happen back in 2014 (which is also certified platinum by the RIAA), Eazy has been on the up and up across the board. With a number of gold and multi-platinum hits under his belt, the 32-year-old is clearly in his own lane and it’s only going to accumulate over time. With the fall season officially upon us, he picked the perfect time to drop off some new music with the release of his new album These Things Happen Too.

The project serves as the follow up to his 2020 mixtape Everything’s Strange Here as well as the sequel to his major label debut album These Things Happen. For the announcement, the artist took to social media to debut a trailer for the album. G-Eazy accompanies the post with a caption, “I know it’s been a long, long time…” The multi-faceted artist’s new album showcases his diverse and eclectic body of work, paying homage to current classics as well as fan-favorite tracks. Talking about These Things Happen Too, G-Eazy told Consequence, “I want to do it with integrity and focus…and make it feel like a true sequel to the first one, but at the same time show the maturation and evolution of a seven-year journey that’s completely changed my world and universe.”

Though he recently made headlines after he was arrested for an alleged physical altercation with a man in a New York City club, G-Eazy has overcome his obstacles with this release that got him back on track. It’s good to see him digging deep to share his evolution as not only an artist, but as a man. These Things Happen Too hosts looks from Lil Wayne (a feature that he teased back in February), YG, Ty Dolla $ign, E-40, Kossisko, Shootergang Kony, and more.
