Young Stoner Life Records’ recording artist Karlae celebrated her birthday over the weekend by releasing a new single and music video for “Sheesh.” The song serves as the latest solo offering from Karlae since she linked up with her YSL labelmates Young Thug and Gunna for her single “Jimmy Choo” late last year. In the video, the proclaimed “Queen of Slime” flexes with glittering diamonds and glam as she delivers her bars in confidence:

Got it out the mud, I’m a beast, new Jordan’s I be steppin’ no crease/ Whole gang with me, I ain’t worried about beef/ I just throw this as back, and they be like sheesh, they be like sheesh, whole lotta thick bitches out, and they be like sheesh, whole lotta rich n***as out, and they be like/ Body like a walking work of art, they try to steal my heart, hood bitch play a n***a like darts

The new release also is a follow up to her braggadocios bars on “I Like” featuring fellow rapper Coi Leray off of YSL Records compilation album Slime Language 2, which debuted at #1 on the Billboard Hot 200 earlier this year. The project boasted 23 tracks with additional appearances from the likes of Travis Scott, Drake, Rowdy Rebel, Lil Baby, Lil Uzi Vert, Coi Leray, Big Sean, NAV, Skepta, Kid Cudi, Yung Bleu, and Future.

When asked about the inspiration behind the single, Karlae stated it is an anthem to fuel a good comeback. “‘Sheesh’ is the reaction everyone gives after they’ve doubted you and you come back stronger,” she says via press release. “In the studio, I was in a bag and I wanted everyone in their bag. They think I’m the underdog, but I always end up on top.”
