South Florida rapper WizDaWizard was reportedly found dead in Hallandale Beach, Florida early Friday morning (Sept. 17).

According to Local 10, the emcee’s body was found in the front yard of a home. There are no reports of gunshots or a struggle in the area, but investigators believe foul play was involved. Authorities said the rapper, whose real name is Wisdom Williams, grew up in that neighborhood, but hadn’t lived there recently.

News cameras captured the crime scene from above and saw that almost 100 people were assembled there searching for answers. A man even attempted to cross the yellow police tape to see the body of his deceased family member, prompting police to intervene.

“When you suspect it might be a family member of yours, or a loved one, you would want to try to confirm that for yourself,” Hallandale Beach Police Captain Megan Jones said. “It wasn’t anything malicious or ill will. It was just trying to get their own confirmation.”

Deputies from Broward Sheriff’s Office are now helping local agents with the case as Williams’ death continues to be investigated. “There’s going to be detectives reaching out to the family, friends, trying to get some more information,” Jones added. “We’re making a plea to the public at this time that if anyone has any information that could help us assist with a suspect then that would be greatly appreciated.”

Williams reportedly had ties to Kodak Black’s Sniper Gang. The two artists have collaborated together multiple times in the past. So far, Kodak has not commented on Williams’ passing.

This news comes just after SpotemGottem, a rapper best known for his hit “Beat Box,” was shot five times in Miami. As REVOLT previously reported, the 19-year-old was leaving a local studio early Friday morning (Sept. 17) when someone pulled up next to his Dodge Charger and opened fire. The car was hit 22 times. He is now in stable condition and expected to make a full recovery.
