Bas joins Anik Khan for new “Spill” single

The two Queens-bred artists link up for a hit.

Earlier this year, Anik Khan dropped off his Denied project to hold his fans over with some summer cuts. He now makes his swift return with the freshly released “Spill” single and he made sure to tap in with Dreamville’s very own Bas for the assist. The accompanying Jonathan Benavente-directed visual opens up with Khan waking up and continuing his vibe from the night before by wasting no time taking a tequila bottle to the head. In his first verse, Khan speaks on his humble beginnings:

Used to eat the rice with dirty dishes, yeah, yeah, now the curry got a different pigment, yeah, yeah/ My cousin going blind and losing interest, gave my aunty ten stacks just so he could see the vision, yeah, yeah/ You see the cut and my stitchesGave up the ‘Gram ‘cause I don’t like pictures/ Understand, I’m a motherfucking menace/ If it ain’t about the bands, it ain’t none of my business

Now I’m sipping too much tequila, I’m spilling my cup, I’m spilling my heart/ Let me know, can you keep a secret and treasure my trust, so I don’t feel lost?/ You know they just approved the visa, now I don’t give a fuck, so we can get lost

Later in the video, Bas eventually joins him and they party the night away together with some friends. The visual ends with Khan feeling the consequences of his drinking as he passes out until the next day.

In terms of other recent collabs, Bas joined Price and Wyclef Jean for their “Selfish” collab single, and also tapped in with The Hics once again for “Smoke From Fire.” He also used his voice and influence to speak on topics important to him as he hosted Dreamville’s podcast, The Messenger, which will help share a story about the fight for freedom in Uganda.
