Summer Walker is thinking about creating her own social media app. On Thursday (Aug. 26), the singer hopped on her Galactawhore Instagram account to present her idea to her 864,000 followers.

“I’m bout to look into creating a app similar cause this IG shit going to hell,” the post read. Alongside her idea, she shared screenshots displaying fans’ encouragement to create the app. In the caption to the post, she joked that Instagram’s strict policies led to her reluctance to release some new merchandise on her account. “Idk if I even wanna drop my Galactawhore merch on here.. lol it might go against they ‘guidelines,’” the “Deep” star sarcastically wrote.

Summer’s intention to create a new social media app comes after some of her controversial posts were censored and removed from Instagram. Most recently, after she shared an article about the “eight best doctors” for a healthy lifestyle, the content was removed. Instagram clarified that Summer’s post was deleted after a third party claimed that the video infringed on their intellectual property rights, but the explanation wasn’t enough for the singer.

Shortly after her post was removed, Summer decided to vent in a post that has since been deleted. “I’m done w this app, and really this whole plandemic agenda,” she wrote. “It goes against guidelines to say sleep, water, vegetables, exercise, meditation, fasting & yoga is extremely beneficial to your health but an experimental jab is completely fine to recommend.”

“It’s bout to get real bad when it comes to us having basic rights,” she continued. “I be tryna warn everyone for so long, but no one cares. No ever listens to me cause I see shit before others can. but this isn’t good, and I’ll leave it.”

Though it’s not clear whether Summer will actually follow through with her idea, she may possibly get a cosign from Boosie, who previously called on billionaires to help in the creation of a rival Instagram app.
