The Sept. 3 event will take place in Miami.

Future is stepping in to help Haitians who were affected by the deadly earthquake that hit the country earlier this month. According to a recent Instagram post, the emcee will be hosting a Haitian benefit concert that is slated to go on Sept. 3 at the Oasis Wynwood in Miami. There is no word on how long the concert will be or if any other artists will be hitting the stage alongside the Atlanta rapper.

The news of Future’s benefit comes days after Haitian American rapper Zoey Dollaz — who has announced his own relief efforts — called out the silence from artists who discuss Haitian culture in their music.

“All these fuck ass rappers that’s always using Zoes this and zoes that in their raps, and I got Haitians in Miami this and that using us to sound cool, I don’t see a single post from none of u fuck boys about Haiti, but y’all be ready to use our lingos and act like we yall hittas,” he tweeted at the time before suggesting an alternate way for artists to lend a helping hand.

“Shit if u don’t wanna give money fine!!!!” he went on. “But bring us some awareness so others can put their heads together and help us.”

Haiti has been suffering since a 7.2 earthquake struck the country on Aug. 14. As of Sunday (Aug. 22), roughly 2,189 people passed away from the natural disaster, 2,268 people were injured, and 344 people were still missing. Roughly 53,000 houses were destroyed by the quake, leaving many, including those recently discharged from hospitals, homeless.

Celebrities, non profit organizations and neighboring countries have launched efforts to provide Haitian citizens with necessary supplies, but gangs have come in the way, hijacking trucks and stealing food from relief workers as they attempt to deliver packages to those in need.

Tickets for the Haiti benefit concert will go on sale on Aug. 25 at noon ET. See Future’s post below.
