The power couple joined forces with the brand for its new “About Love” campaign.

JAY-Z and Beyoncé pose in front of a never-before-seen painting by American artist Jean-Michel Basquiat as part of the rollout for their new “About Love” campaign with Tiffany & Co. As reported by REVOLT earlier this month, the power couple was recently revealed to be the new face of the historic luxury jewelry brand.

Tiffany & Co. unveiled the photo of Bey and JAY in front of the Basquiat piece on Monday (Aug. 23). The painting is called “Equals Pi” and dates back to 1982.

“We don’t have any literature that says he made the painting for Tiffany, but we know a little bit about Basquiat,” Alexandre Arnault, the executive VP of products and communications at Tiffany, told Women’s Wear Daily.

“We know his family. We did an exhibition of his work at the Louis Vuitton Foundation a few years back,” Arnault continued. “We know he loved New York and that he loved luxury and he loved jewelry. My guess is that the [blue painting] is not by chance. The color is so specific that it has to be some kind of homage.”

According to Women’s Wear Daily, the new photo, captured by photographer Mason Poole, is the first time the Tiffany Diamond has been featured in a campaign. It’s also the first time that Bey and JAY have appeared together in an ad campaign like this.

Along with the inaugural photo, Tiffany also released a short home-video filmed by Hov. The sweet clip sees Beyoncé playing the piano. The “About Love” print campaign is reportedly set to launch in early September and an accompanying video component will air on Sept. 15. As part of Tiffany’s collaboration with the Carters, the brand has also committed $2 million toward scholarships and other programs at HBCUs.

Earlier this year, JAY-Z entered a partnership with LVMH, which owns Tiffany & Co. Hov sold a majority stake in his Armand de Brignac champagne brand to the luxury conglomerate for an estimated $315 million.
