Tyler, the Creator was one of many people to give Jadakiss his flowers after The LOX and Dipset Verzuz.

After last week’s Verzuz between The LOX and Dipset, Jadakiss received praise for his lyrical prowess and the effortless way in which he commanded the stage. Tyler, the Creator’s response to the rapper’s stage performance specifically went viral, earning reactions from many, including Kiss himself.

“Tyler, the Creator better chill out,” the Yonkers emcee told “The Breakfast Club” while sitting alongside LOX members Sheek Louch and Styles P. “I like Tyler, the Creator. That just means that he tapped into our frequency, and he loved Verzuz, so I didn’t take it as disrespect. He said he had a crush on me or some crazy shit. [He’s] very talented and very smart.”

The comment Jada is referring to was penned by the California rapper amid the showdown between the two New York rap groups. “Pause I think I gotta crush on Jadakiss,” Tyler tweeted at the time. “That nigga confidence and voice control is crazy, and he aged so well. JADAKISS SKIN IS SO NICE.”

He later elaborated on his comments during an interview with Hot 97’s Ebro Darden, which Charlamagne tha God mentioned after hearing Kiss’ response.

Jadakiss was so ill the other night,” Tyler explained. “I was like, ‘This gonna be cool, but I think Dipset got this, right?’ Bro, that man cares. He gives a fuck! Every time he would perform, him and Styles P, it wouldn’t be 80 niggas onstage. I just noticed it was space.

“He made it a point to say, ‘We are home, where rap started. We feed our family because we use our voice over instrumentals, why the fuck are y’all niggas rapping over the songs?’ He wasn’t too cool to care. When Jadakiss said that, I was like, ‘Oh, I’m in love with this nigga.’”

Elsewhere in the interview, The LOX addressed Kevin Durant’s decision to side with Dipset and denied rumors that Jadakiss was the ghostwriter behind certain songs.
