Nicki Minaj has some lofty praise for a pop icon.

In an Instagram story she uploaded on Tuesday (Aug. 10), Nicki posted the cover for Whitney Houston’s eponymous debut album along with some bold overlain text: “Greatest album of all time.”

With powerful, expressive vocals, Houston’s debut solidified her status as a rising pop superstar. The project, which was produced by Jermaine Jackson and more, has been certified 13-times platinum. With that in mind, it’s no surprise that Nicki’s a fan of the album since, well, basically everyone was.

You can see Nicki’s post about Houston below.

This report arrives as Nicki herself continues collecting the respect of folks from around the industry. Last month, BIA, who was received a Nicki verse for her “Whole Lotta Money (Remix),” made sure fans knew how big of a deal the whole situation was.

“I really got the opportunity to bond and write with Nicki,” tweeted the grateful artist. “Man, my heart is so full right now. This is a bucket list moment. So iconic. So timeless…This shit is crazy. God is so good.”

Earlier this week, the City Girls JT said the duo wanted to do a collaboration with Nicki. “We’re hoping for in the future, seriously,” JT said to a fan who asked about a possible City Girls collab with Nicki. “A lot of people try to make fun of it like, ‘Ah, you’re never gonna get your feature,’ but you never know what can happen,” she added.

Last year, Yung Miami also said she wanted to work with the New York artist, who has intermittently teased a new album since she dropped Queen in 2018.

“We want to work with Nicki Minaj because we feel like that’s the only female artist we haven’t worked with yet,” she said. “We feel like it’s only right to work with Nicki Minaj.”
