“‘CLB’ coming soon people!!” James wrote on his IG Story.

The updates on Drake’s highly awaited Certified Lover Boy project continue with a tease from his friend, LeBron James. Early Tuesday morning (Aug. 10), the Lakers star took to his Instagram story to let fans know that the record will soon be on its way.

CLB coming soon people!!” read the post that featured Drake’s “4PM in Calabasas” in the background. “My brother ain’t F’n around @champagnepapi.

Drake later reposted James’ story before uploading two more posts. In the first, he’s spotted driving a convertible. The second one shows a screenshot of his FaceTime call with one of his producers as well as a drawing of “CLB” on top of the number “2021” — another indication that the album is coming out this year.

Certified Lover Boy was originally slated to come out in January, but an unprecedented knee surgery and subsequent recovery led to several delays. After more than a few teases, the Toronto native confirmed that the album was almost done.

“You know Uncle Drake is back home to mix the album so she’s got a bunch of new tracks coming her way,” he said at the time. “On my way home to reunite with my dawg and finish this thing up… CLB on the way. On your head top.”

Days later, he provided fans with another update.

Album’s cooked,” Drake said during a recent interview with Sound 42’s “Fri Yiy” show. “Looking forward to delivering it to you. I hope everybody in the world is blessed. I hope everybody has their drinks, everyone’s locked in. Good vibes and good energy for this weekend.”

“And for the rest of you heathens, I wanna tell you, ’cause I know you’re listening, don’t trouble people’s kids, don’t bother people’s soul,” he continued. “OVO, we aim for that head. We don’t aim to please. Certified Lover Boy on the way. And that’s for anyone in the way.”
