Fetty Wap thanked fans for their supportive messages after the tragic passing of his 4-year-old daughter Lauren Maxwell. The “Trap Queen” rapper was visibly emotional on Instagram Live earlier this week as he told fans that he appreciates them and remembered his late daughter.

Speaking through tears, Fetty said Lauren would be “happy as hell” to see his fans paying their respects. The 30-year-old also asked followers to comment butterfly emojis underneath his Instagram posts as a way to remember her.

“You know shorty loved butterflies,” he said choked up.

Elsewhere during the Live, Fetty also showed fans a photo of Lauren and called her his “little twin.”

As reported by REVOLT, Lauren’s mother Turquoise Miami confirmed the devastating news of their child’s death in an Instagram post on Saturday (July 31).

“This is my amazing, beautiful, funny, vibrant, loving, talented, smart and hardheaded princess mermaid Aquarius,” she wrote in the post. “If you see this post scrolling by with her comment… Just say to yourself, ‘I love you LAUREN,’ because they say that souls can feel your love #RIP.”

“I love you Lauren!” she added.

Rap-Up and Hot 97 previously reported that Lauren passed away in late June. However, her death was only confirmed by her mother this past weekend. The cause of the child’s tragic passing has not been revealed.

Besides going Live on Instagram, Fetty also dedicated his Rolling Loud Miami performance to his daughter last month.

“LoLo daddy did that shit for you last night baby girl,” the Trap & B rapper wrote on his Instagram Story after his set.

In June, Fetty also shared photos of his children in honor of Father’s Day. “Pieces of my heart,” he wrote. “It’s them over anything or anybody.”

Fetty is also the father of five other children: Aydin, Zaviera, Khari, Amani and Zy. See clips from his emotional Instagram Live below. We at REVOLT continue to send our deepest condolences to Fetty, Turquoise Miami and their families at this time.
