Brooklyn’s very own Bizzy Banks has unveiled his brand new mixtape Same Energy. The project includes 12 tracks and only two features from Leeky G Bando and PnB Rock. He decided to ring in the new release with a brand new music video for a stand-out track from the ‘tape titled “My Shit.” The visual opens up with a scene of him spitting a freestyle at a radio station, where he doesn’t hold back one bit:
I wish a n***a would move wrong (What?) I finger that bitch with my jewels on (Tahaha)/ I told my ex that I moved on (I told that bitch that I), ain’t sippin’ on Henny, that’s too strong (Hah) She tryna be in my new song/ I used to hit with my shoes on, she askin’ me why I treat her like a leg/
’Cause you ain’t my bitch, drippy shooter, I still be in fly shit/ Tell the oppositions get off my dick/ What you spend on jeans, I spent up on my grip/ Fly n***a, five bands on my fit
In other Bizzy-related news, he also grabbed an appearance on Pop Smoke’s second posthumous album Faith on the track “30.” The track has since then earned him a placement on the Billboard Hot 100 coming in at No. 97. Bizzy’s previous full-length was his debut GMTO (Get Money Take Over) Vol 1, which he put out last September.
The NY rapper recently delved into why his subject matter is the way it is in his music. “I like rapping about me. I can’t rap about nobody else,” Banks said in the profile piece. “I just love telling my little stories to make sure people get to know who I am. I want people to feel what I’m going through, even if they aren’t experiencing the same shit. Like I’m growing up in my music, I’m still learning a lot, still understanding what death really means. I want everyone who listens to me to get that.”
