Trippie Redd revealed late last year that he would soon be releasing a new body of work titled TRIP AT KNIGHT, which acts as the sequel to his 2018 debut LP LIFE’S A TRIP. Last week (July 16), the emcee kept his promise as released another taste from the project, the Lil Uzi Vert-assisted “Holy Smokes.” Today (July 21), the duo unleashed their official music video for the track and on the song Trippie takes the duty of setting the tone with his opening hook:

Holy fuckin’ smokes, I got my money up (Cash), countin’ all these bands, took me a while just to damn run it up/ Multi millions, I fill a hundred up, all this cash on me but I still can’t buy love

Put the hundons in the Chanel, got my racks up/ Sit back, flip shit like a acrobat, n***a, get the stacks up/ Got two accounts, still got millions in my backup (All this cash) on me and this money still won’t buy love (Oh)

The music video is directed by Mooch and features both artists having a blast with each other, hitting the arcade, driving around raging, and everything in between. In other recent news, Trippie’s latest single “Miss The Rage” with Playboi Carti, released in May, debuted at #11 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart (the highest chart debut for either artist).

Trippie Redd also recently announced his Tripp At Knight North American tour, which kicks off in Minneapolis on August 25 and wraps on October 6 in Los Angeles. TRIP AT KNIGHT follows last October’s Pegasus, a 26-track offering that saw a slew of appearances from PARTYNEXTDOOR, Chris Brown, Rich The Kid, Young Thug, Future, Quavo, Busta Rhymes, Sean Kingston, Doe Boy, Lil Wayne, Swae Lee, and more. As with previous drops, Pegasus saw considerable success on the Billboard 200 chart — it peaked at number two thanks to an impressive 60,000 album equivalent units sold during its first week of release.
