It is a known fact that west coast rap has been top tier for as long as we all can remember. From the major label artists to independent artists, that west coast sound has always been stamped and well respected. San Francisco artist Larry June has been in a lane of his own since his arrival back in September 2015 with his #GoodJobLarry mixtape and he has not looked back since.

His work ethic and grind has gotten him to the point that when you hear names like Curren$y and Dom Kennedy (just to name a couple), you’ll hear June’s name in regards to the consistency and quality content. Today, the rapper gears up for a jammin summer with the release of his ninth studio album Orange Print.

When Larry June announced the album’s arrival a week ago on his Instagram page, it was clear as day that it would be highly anticipated. Outside of many comments with many fire emojis, a few fans even deemed it a classic project already. If you have been sleep on June before reading all of those comments, you’d probably be made into a believer like the rest of them.

Earlier this month, Larry June treated fans with his first single of 2021 which also serves as one of the lead singles from Orange Print. Titled “Wait On Me,” the smooth jam was the Bay Area rapper’s first release since his LP Numbers last December. The introspective and melodic single has already surpassed over 760 million views on YouTube alone.

Spanning over a total of 14 records, Larry June tapped on three solid features to contribute to Orange Print’s success — Herm Lewis, Money Man, and the OG Trae Tha Truth. If you’ve been feeling June’s energy as of lately, get excited and press play on this solid body of work.
