When it comes to being multi-talented in this industry, Yaniash Warren is one name that needs to be added to the discussion. Throughout his still young career, the rising star has added the artist, producer, musician, and engineering roles to his growing skill set, making him a one-man army in regards to creating in the studio.

Today, Yaniash liberates a new single titled “This Respect,” a powerful offering that sees him delivering clever wordplay about street life, women, and more that’ll require a few rewind button presses to fully break down:

“It feel better to point the banger than point the finger, I be the reason these bitches’ dresses come off the hanger, these niggas throwing up B’s ‘til I remove the stinger, infatuated with keys, I never let ‘em linger, gone with the wind like I was TB12, don’t bet against me, who pose a better threat, these niggas get Belichick’d…”

Born and raised in Houma, Louisiana, Yaniash’s family bloodline all but solidified his path toward music, an artform that he first dwelled into by picking up a trumpet while he was still in single digits. That they evolved into poetry, with Yaniash drawing inspiration from the likes of JAY-Z, Big L, Tupac Shakur, Slick Rick, Geto Boys, Keith Sweat, Prince, Michael Jackson, and Aretha Franklin. He also bore witness to No Limit and Cash Money’s respective eras, coming into close contact with music from those entities via his mother, who managed a music store during that time. Fast forward to now, and Yaniash already has well-received singles and features under his belt, including last month’s “Roll Wittem” and YK Toon’s 2020 standout “Exotic.” Currently, he’s putting the final touches on his self-produced debut Yesterday I Sinned.

As we wait for that body of work, Yaniash’s “This Respect” is available for streaming below.
