This past weekend, Bugzy Malone unveiled his sophomore album The Resurrection, a 15-track offering that sees additional features from Dermot Kennedy, Emeli Sandé, Josh Berger, and Chip. The album’s release was preceded by the well-received singles like “Notorious,” “Doe’d Up,” “Salvador,” and “Skeletons.”

Just before The Resurrection made landfall, the Manchester star also liberated a new visual from the project for the Blinkie-produced cut “Ride Out,” a track that’s perfectly made for a debaucherous club night post-quarantine:

“Step in the club and nobody gets a look in, bottles start poppin’ and batties start droppin’, think I been shottin’ the way I get guapin’, but I’m OG status so I never touch nothin’…”

The accompanying clip matches the song’s energy, with a well-dressed Bugzy Malone living it up at what appears to be a mansion function with plenty of food and beverage, casino-style games, and plenty of beautiful people to party with.

2020 saw Bugzy Malone experience a massive life-changing event, which probably led to the new album’s title — March of last year saw him crashing his quad bike into another vehicle, leading to serious injuries that took months for him to recover from. Another track from The Resurrection, “M.E.N. III,” details what almost took Bugzy’s life:

“When the car pulled out, I knew that we was crashing, and at that point my life was meant to start flashing, I just blacked out, woke up on the concrete with feathers everywhere, the Moncler was ragged down, me, I had it mapped out, now I got bleeding on the brain, the same shit that killed my cousin…”

Press play on both The Resurrection and other notable visuals from the project — including for the aforementioned standouts “M.E.N. III” and “Ride Out.” Also added is a schedule for Bugzy’s forthcoming UK tour.
