Just last month, QC’s very own Lakeyah unleashed her latest body of work In Due Time. She wasted no time hitting fans with the visuals, first leading with the lavish “Easy” video, then the Gucci Mane-assisted “Poppin’” cut, then “Too Much,” and now the freshly released “Perfect” video. The track includes an assists from fellow artist Yung Bleu. In her opening verse, Lakeyah exudes unshakable confidence:

Look, that bitch a ten, her attitude bad/ She know she all that with a pretty face (Yeah)/ He heard about me from the n***as I curved, huh, I’m guessin’ he want a taste (He do)/ Heard his water like my Cuban link (Uh)

That commitment shit ain’t really new to me, make a n***a sing that old Durk and have him screamin’, “Baby, what you do to me?” (Oh-oh)/ Damn, look at that smile, nose up so far, she’ll turn you down (Yeah)/ Your old ho so gassed up, no lie/ Put it down so good, I’ma make you proud, uh

The In Due Time project includes features from Gucci Mane, Yung Bleu, and boasts production credits from names like Hitmaka, OG Parker, G Styles, and multiple cuts handled by Heavy. She’s kept busy this year by consistently releasing music videos to accompany her tracks from her previous project Time’s Up.

Earlier this year, Lakeyah was living lavish in her visual for “Big,” which was a follow up for cuts like “Worst Thing,” “Hit Different,” “Female Goat” and “Pop Out.” Continuing her streak of consistency, Lakeyah has most recently dropped off her latest visual from the project for “Basic.” The 10-track body of work includes features from 42 Dugg and Inayah in addition to the City Girls.

Be sure to press play on Layekah’s brand new music video for “Perfect” featuring Yung Bleu down below.
