DMX’s family will help carry on his legacy at a tribute show later this month. According to TMZ, the late rap icon was set to perform a live show at the Wildcatter Saloon in Katy, Texas. Rather than canceling the event in light of his tragic passing, the bar owners are planning to host a tribute show that night instead.

On Wednesday (May 12), TMZ reported that several of DMX’s family members will also be in attendance. The venue owners told the outlet that X’s fiancée Desiree Lindstrom and their 4-year-old son Exodus will make an appearance at the concert and make a speech in X’s honor.

The rapper’s young daughter Sonovah Hillman Jr., who wowed fans at her father’s memorial service, is also expected to perform at the show. The 8-year-old impressively rapped her own version of her dad’s 1998 hit “Slippin’” during his Barclays Center Celebration of Life last month. According to TMZ, Sonovah will likely go on as the second-to-last performer of the night and is expected to play something similar to her “Slippin’” rendition.

Drag-On, Ruff Ryders mainstay and X’s protégé, will reportedly close out the event as the final act. The Wildcatter Saloon DMX tribute show is scheduled for May 29.

Over the weekend, Lindstrom reflected on her first Mother’s Day without DMX. On Instagram, she revealed that she and Exodus marked the day by visiting X’s grave.

“Today is the first Mother’s Day with [DMX] being in heaven and not here with us! We miss him deeply and love him so very much!” she wrote in an Instagram post.

In another post, Lindstrom revealed that X’s close friend and collaborator Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys invited her over for dinner and offered her support during the difficult holiday.

“Yesterday was a very emotional day for me spending Mother’s Day without my fiancé, but I have to thank [Swizz Beatz] and [Alicia Keys] for inviting me out for dinner last night,” she wrote in a post. “I’m very happy that I pushed myself to do so because it’s been so hard for me to do anything now a days. I just want to let y’all know I really appreciate it!”
