Yelawolf continues to deliver more music in a five month people than some have done in their entire careers. This past weekend, the Alabama star released his latest official LP and fifth project of 2020 titled Mud Mouth, which sees 14 dope cuts for fans to enjoy. One particular standout is the Jim Jonsin-produced “Money,” which sees assists from Jelly Roll and Struggle Jennings — the album’s only features — and, as the title suggests, is centered around the almighty dollar:

“Been at it for a minute, yeah, the full minute from the mud I drop, been had a couple haters, yeah, had a couple haters, but the buzz won’t stop, took a bite of that pie, boy, I’m an American rollin’ rock, what they gon’ say now, boy?

Still Slum and I’m settin’ up shop, shop, shop, Yelawolf, Yelawolf, yeah, buddy, I’m a trailer park household name, I ain’t gotta work another day in my life, I can’t complain/”

Mud Mouth was also accompanied by trailer for Yelawolf’s forthcoming movie of the same name, which seems to be centered around the rapper taking a psychoactive drug and going on an otherworldly adventure of sorts with the likes of frequent collaborator DJ Paul. Said film is expected to be released sometime this summer, as can be seen at the end of the clip:

Back in February, Yelawolf kicked things off with Yelawolf Blacksheep, a collaborative effort with Caskey that featured top quality cuts like “Cookies,” “Billy and the Purple Datson,” “Daytona,” and “Million Dollar Deal.” Then, April saw the former Shady Records signee releasing joint projects on a weekly basis — TURQUOiSE TORNADO with Riff Raff, Slumafia with DJ Paul, and Mile Zero with DJ Muggs. Then came Mud Mouth, Yelawolf’s second independent solo outing following 2019’s Ghetto Cowboy.
