Next month, moviegoers will be heading to theaters to check out the new film Spiral: From the Book of Saw, which stars Chris Rock and Samuel L. Jackson and acts as the ninth installment of the Saw horror franchise. The official soundtrack for Spiral is being handled by 21 Savage, who has decided to bless us with a dark new single of the same name.

Produced by Kid Hazel, Savage wastes little time getting to the street-oriented bars he’s become popular for:

“Everything I do, I be ten steps ahead, my youngin got them bodies, she still piss in the bed, keep the code of silence, don’t repeat what I said, keep all the baloney, I just came for the bread, my hood known for wildin’ and I don’t promote the violence, I done been through all the trials, tribulations, now I’m smilin’/”

Last year, 21 Savage reunited with Metro Boomin for the second installment of their Savage Mode series, which saw 15 tracks with additional features from Drake, Young Thug, and Young Nudy. The project proved to be one of the biggest of 2020, landing at the top of the Billboard 200 thanks to 171,000 album equivalent units sold during its first week of release. Having since earned a Gold certification, Savage Mode 2 also spawned a Chopped Not Slopped version courtesy of Slim K from OG Ron C’s Chopstars collective.

In addition to his own release, 21 Savage also appears on DJ Khaled’s new album KHALED KHALED, collaborating with Justin Bieber on the more lighthearted effort “LET IT GO”:

“I’ll let it go if you say that you love me, that shit better show, don’t tryna play like I’m slow, ‘cause you been ‘round the block and I know this for sure, she ask for seconds, I give her some more and I’m proud of myself ‘cause I used to be poor, now I just hustle and grind and stack it ‘til all of my muscles is sore/”
