If you’re from Memphis, then you’re probably familiar with DJ-Q. For those that don’t, the multi-talent has revealed a new Trackgordy-produced single titled “Plenty Cake,” which features assistance from fellow hometown hero Young Dolph and label boss Rick Ross. Given the hard-hitting bass and boastful subject matter, the collaboration is perfect for dancefloors and strip clubs alike:

“Plenty cake, red velvet, peach cobbler, thick and sweet, come get a slice, big body foreign car, fresh out the box, I went and bought it, Memphis niggas, they known to box, been ‘bout it, take my chain, you must be lame, I got ten bodies, left or right, we sweep the streets and let the people mop it, plenty cake, red velvet, peach cobbler, fuck the cops, let down the top, I just seen the sergeant…/”

It’s been a couple of years since Rick Ross released his tenth studio album Port of Miami 2, the sequel to 2006’s Port of Miami. The second installment contained 15 tracks with additional features from Wale, Gunplay, Summer Walker, Drake, DeJ Loaf, Swizz Beatz, Meek Mill, Nipsey Hussle, Teyana Taylor, Jeezy, YFN Lucci, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, and more. The project was a success, debuting at number two on the Billboard 200 — right behind Slipknot’s We Are Not Your Kind — with 80,000 album equivalent units sold.

Meanwhile, Young Dolph has been more active in recent months. This past March, he and his Paper Route artist Key Glock dropped off their joint release Dum and Dummer 2, featuring current hits like “Aspen,” “RAIN RAIN,” and “Penguins.” His last solo effort, Rich Slave, made landfall last August with 16 dope cuts — the top five body of work was then re-released early this year in deluxe format, adding on eight more songs for fans to enjoy.
