It’s no doubt that Swizz Beatz and Timbaland have created one of the best things to come out of the pandemic with the hit battle series Verzuz. As the two men hopped on Instagram Live to talk about the epic matchup between Earth, Wind & Fire and The Isley Brothers, Swizz revealed that he believes their platform is bigger than “Saturday Night Live.”

Timbaland commented that Verzuz was the new “SNL.”

“Nah, we bigger than that,” Swizz replied. “Our numbers beat ‘SNL.’” Timbaland then asked him to say it again. “Our numbers are bigger than ‘SNL,’” Swizz repeated. “That’s not cap. That’s real talk.”

The two moguls then spoke about the most recent Verzuz, which took place on Easter Sunday (April 4). The Ruff Ryders producer said it will be hard to top the matchup between Earth, Wind & Fire and The Isley Brothers. “It’s not about like, the best Verzuz,” he added. “It’s about celebrating the creative.”

“So, some nights we gonna have the Super Bowl, some nights we gonna have the Pro Bowl, some nights we gonna have the Rose Bowl, but we gon’ have a good time,” Swizz said.

Last week, REVOLT reported that Verzuz partnered with Peloton to bring their musical battles to the popular fitness platform. Peloton Verzuz “is like nothing that Peloton has ever done before,” and will “come to life during Peloton’s motivational classes taught by its best-in-class instructors available via the Peloton Bike, Tread or App which offers a 30-day free trial to new members,” according to Variety.

“I feel that the parallel lines with Verzuz and Peloton are the same,” Swizz said. “You’re in the zone. Your energy is there. Everybody’s in the VIP, the same seats, at the show.”

The first Peloton Verzuz class to become available was Brandy Vs. Monica — whose August Verzuz battle garnered more than 6 million viewers across Instagram and Apple Music. Workout members can choose whether they are #VerzuzBrandy or #VerzuzMonica during their session.
