DMX’s brain function has reportedly remained unchanged, according to TMZ.

The outlet reports that the “X Gon’ Give It To Ya” emcee has not regained any brain function nearly a week after he suffered a heart attack. On Wednesday (April 7), REVOLT reported that doctors at the White Plains Hospital were going to perform brain function tests on the rapper, who is currently on life support. TMZ reports that the tests that were performed on X showed no improvement of brain activity. The outlet was told that the test results were “not good.”

TMZ also says that the family has a tough decision to make regarding whether or not to keep X on life support.

Steve Rifkind, X’s longtime friend and manager, was reportedly asked by the family to fly to New York on Friday (April 9). Earlier this week, he released a statement about the brain tests that the Flesh Of My Flesh, Blood Of My Blood rapper was scheduled to undergo. He also gave an update on his health.

“DMX is currently on life support and in a coma. There are multiple people with inaccurate information about his well-being and it is not helpful and productive,” Rifkind told TMZ on Tuesday (April 6). “Tomorrow, he will undergo further tests on his brain function and his family will determine what’s best from there. We appreciate your prayers and support.”

Over the weekend, fans were shocked to learn that the Ruff Ryders emcee had been hospitalized after suffering a heart attack. As a result of his heart attack, DMX’s brain went without oxygen for almost 30 minutes, causing lung and brain failure.

On Monday (April 5), hundreds of fans gathered outside of the hospital for a vigil. Supporters played his music, chanted “DMX” and prayed for the rapper’s recovery.

The REVOLT team is continuing to keep DMX, his family and friends in our prayers.
