It’s been almost an exact year since Sneakbo released his latest body of work 9 LIVES, a 17-track project that saw additional appearances from Mr Eazi, Ard Adz, Tiny Boost, Dappy, Moelogo, Fekky, and many more. Since then, the South London emcee has been dropping off infectious singles like “Shake Dat Azz,” “I Don’t Wanna Die,” “Chasing The Bag,” and — most recently — “Dripping” with Greedy.

For his latest, Sneakbo has decided to deliver some bars over the instrumental for Drake and Rick Ross’ latest collaboration “Lemon Pepper Freestyle,” which he uses to get real about his personal life and struggles:

“I pray the lord forgive me, I’ve been sinnin’, I had to take a L, but lately I’ve been winnin’, I haven’t seen my uncle in a minute, when I was younger, always knew we were the realest, six figure deal, kind of had me gassed, told myself I ain’t never goin’ back to the trap/

Playing with my stack gon’ get a nigga clapped, I was in a deal, thank God I’m out of that, don’t draw a nigga out, I ain’t been about, I been in the house, catching flights…/”

Prior to 9 LIVES, Sneakbo kept the streets fed with 2018’s Brixton, his official debut LP that contains 19 cuts with assists from the likes of Not3s, Giggs, Political Peak, Yungen, Afro B, and Conor Maynard. A year later, he would unveil the second installment of his well-received Jetski Wave series, a nine track offering that keeps with the dance floor-ready singles that Sneakbo’s become well-known for. He could also be heard on tracks like Harry & Larry’s “Love & Affection,” Ls One’s “Ride Out,” and iLL BLU’s “Routine Check 2.0.” Hopefully, he’s prepared to release another full-length to the masses soon.
