Last year, Ty Dolla $ign unveiled his third studio album Featuring Ty Dolla $ign, which saw 25 tracks and a slew of features from Kid Cudi, Post Malone, Kanye West, Anderson .Paak, Quavo, Lil Durk, Nicki Minaj, Big Sean, Roddy Ricch, Kehlani, Future, Young Thug, and loads more. The project proved to be Ty$’ best yet, landing at the number four spot on the Billboard 200 thanks to 44,000 album equivalent units sold during its first week of release.

Today, Ty Dolla $ign takes one of his Featuring Ty Dolla $ign standouts — namely, the Jhené Aiko and Mustard-assisted “By Yourself” — and upgrades to a remix with the assistance of Louisville crooner Bryson Tiller, who adds to the GYLTTRYP-produced number that’s geared toward giving Black women the respect they deserve.

As with the meaning behind Featuring Ty Dolla $ign, Ty$ has become one of the most needed artists in the industry over the past few years, appearing on chart-topping tracks like Kehlani’s “Nights Like This,” The Chainsmokers’ “Do You Mean,” Dreamville’s “Got Me,” Megan Thee Stallion’s “Hot Girl Summer,” SZA’s “Hit Different,” Brandy’s “No Tomorrow (Pt. 2),” Big Sean’s “Body Language,” and Ariana Grande’s “Safety Net,” among many, many others. He’s also been vocal in regards to current events — last June saw him teaming up with Skrillex and Ant Clemons for the socially and politically charged “You See It.”

During a past REVOLT Summit appearance, Ty$ spoke on how it felt to have achieved his well-deserved success, both in regards to being a west coast urban music artist and reaching that commercial level in general:

“It’s a honor and a blessing to represent the west, feed my family, and give back to the community, you know what I’m saying?”
