2021 is clearly the year for underground dominance. There’s many artists touching the radio airwaves daily and that’s lit, but on the flipside, there’s three times as many that aren’t touching those airwaves and have great substance to provide for their respected fanbases. 28 year old Guapdad 4000 is amongst those that could care less about the radio play and more so on his fans connecting with his music and staying loyal.

Guapdad 4000 and living legend !llmind on their respective coasts have added color to the history of Oakland and New York City respectively. Now the shape-shifting producer and the Bay Area native connect for a full collaborative effort titled 1176.

“If !llmind had a power it would be to shapeshift, he can do anything,” Guapdad said on the collaboration in a statement. He added, “Something like this comes in handy when you need to tell the full spectrum of your story like I did in this music. I had no idea we would stumble upon something this magical though but I guess I should have known that linking up with my Filipino brother would enhance my super powers! Enjoy it scamily.”

Named “the secret weapon of the Revenge of the Dreamers III sessions” by Complex, Guapdad 4000 has been one to watch since the start. With a Grammy nomination, a slew of viral singles, and tours with P Lo, Earthgang (Dreamville), and Denzel Curry already under his belt, the Oakland rapper’s talent, creativity, and versatility are set to take him straight to becoming one of music’s brightest stars.

It’s still only the first quarter of the year and the Oakland rapper has successfully marked his territory with this infectious collab album. If you needed new music to add to your playlists, 1176 would be a great addition so don’t snooze! Check it out below.
