BROCKHAMPTON never seems to over-do it when it comes to promotion, so when they dropped their latest cryptic video, it definitely hit. In a new teaser, which you can view down below, the legendary RZA shares his thoughts about the new BROCKHAMPTON music that will soon be able to be heard by the world, and he had only great things to say as he was thoroughly impressed.

“It had both like I said, it sounded future. It sounded catching up, family truths of the past,” says the Wu-Tang legend. “And it sounded like, I think the thing y’all got that’s special that people don’t have is the ability—I guess when you guys coined the boyband of it all, that element there, nobody got that. You know what I mean?”

He then went on to draw a quick contrast between BROCKHAMPTON and Odd Future, both being very well-loved collectives that have created a bond with their respective supporters in recent years. “Nobody there right now doin’ it. Odd Future didn’t do it that way. You know, it’s a lot of guys, that one, that other element that you guys add to it. I’m telling you it’s like, it’s magic.”

Most importantly, he also provides an update on the new music, confirming there’s an album either done or being very close to complete. He makes sure to let people know that if you weren’t paying attention before, this is the time to start. This particular album, after listening to your other stuff and listening to this, the melding of it now, it’s like if somebody thought it wasn’t cool? N***a it’s cool now.”

BROCKHAMPTON’s last body of work was 2019’s GINGER, which boasts their Platinum-certified single “SUGAR.” Prior to that was 2018’s iridescence and then their SATURATION trilogy that started back in 2017.
