The Weeknd is planning to re-release his 2011 debut mixtape to streaming platforms for the first time on Sunday (March 21).

The “Blinding Lights” singer took to Twitter on Wednesday (March 17) to share the news. “On Sunday, for its 10-year anniversary, I’m releasing House of Balloons on all streaming platforms for the first time in its original incarnation,” he tweeted. “With the original mixes and samples.” According to Billboard, House of Balloons was originally released on the Candian star’s website in 2011. He later combined the mixtape with Thursday and Echoes of Silence for his first compilation album Trilogy.

Trilogy peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 and reached No. 1 Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip Hop Albums chart in 2012. One of the most well-known samples from the original House of Balloons mixtape was Aaliyah’s “Rock the Boat,” which was heard in “What You Need.”

Additionally, The Weeknd will also release a merch drop that will include a limited-edition vinyl. Only 1,000 will be manufactured for purchase. The vinyl and other merch items will be available on March 21 on shop.theweeknd.com.

Earlier this month, the After Hours singer declared that he was boycotting the Grammys after his latest music did not receive any nominations. In a statement to the New York Times, he said, “Because of the secret committees, I will no longer allow my label to submit my music to the Grammys.”

In January, “Blinding Lights” made Billboard history when it re-entered the Hot 100 chart at the No. 3 position, becoming the music chart’s highest re-entry. The track also made history by becoming the first song ever to spend a year on the Hot 100’s top 10. “After Hours was always meant to be a very personal project. It’s a story I had to tell,” The Weeknd recently told Billboard.

He continued, “The fact I’ve been able to tell it with the world listening is incredible. This Billboard chart record is truly a result of the fans. I’m so humbled and forever grateful to them.”
