As a part of The Black History Always – Music For The Movement Vol. 2 EP presented by The Undefeated, Tinashe teamed up with TOKiMONSTA and contributed her revamped version of the iconic “I’m Every Woman” record. The R&B songstress gave it her “signature breath” and “best ‘70s diva energy” as she puts her spin on the song popularized by by Chaka Khan and Whitney Houston. It’s hard to not dance to it as she adds a house spin with the original lyrics:

I’m every woman, it’s all in me/ Anything you want done, baby, I’ll do it naturally/ I’m every woman, it’s all in me. I can read your thoughts right now, every one from A to Z/ I can cast a spell, but you can’t tell, mix special brew, put fire inside of you/ Anytime you feel danger or fear/ Instantly I will appear, ‘cause I’m every woman, it’s all in me/ Anything you want done, baby, I’ll do it naturally

The Black History Always – Music For The Movement Vol. 2 EP released at the end of last month. In regards to what the song means to her, Tinashe shared her thoughts on the power of womanhood:

There’s such a beauty and such a power in being a woman, and our feminine power and our feminine nature. I think we have a lot of things about us that make us really beautiful and magical, and I like to be able to embrace that as well. So I think as I’ve gotten older, I’ve become even more in love with my own femininity and more assured of how amazing it is to be a woman.
