At this point in time, it should be common knowledge that Curren$y is one of the best artists in the industry as well as the most consistent (alongside Gucci Mane) we’ve seen yet. It took him some time to reach the status he has today — having signed with Master P and No Limit Records and then Lil Wayne and Young Money Entertainment (before doing things his own way).

Little did we know at that time, Spitta would immediately apply endless pressure. Having one of the most polished catalogs in the industry and a loyal fan base, he has provided us with a number of great projects in recent times (The Out Runners with Harry Fraud, The Director’s Cut, Bonus Footage, Spring Clean and more). Today, he continues his lyrical onslaught with his new album Collection Agency.

The album’s announcement had the Jet Lifers in a frenzy. It’s never a bad time to get new music from the New Orleans legend and this album is another one that’ll be on repeat for a while. Collection Agency serves as Curren$y’s 11th solo studio album and 90th project overall and it’s almost unreal how he hasn’t lost his touch not one bit.

In a sit-down with DJ First Class, the New Orleans rapper discussed many things including working with Harry Fraud, his longevity in hip hop and a lot more. Here’s what he had to say about his longevity and inspiration over the years:

“People responding, letting me know that it mean something to them and just being inspired. I’ve seen so many people make it in the game and lose their spot. And I’ve seen a couple people maintain their runs and build a legacy because they never stopped working. People do it in the beginning and once they get in motion, they start doing other shit.”

Laced with 10 records and one feature from Larry June, Collection Agency is definitely one you want to indulge in. Locate your lighters and press play below.
