As she gears up for the release of her Ready Is Always Too Late project, songstress Sinéad Harnett has already shared her collaborations with Johnny Venus, Masego, and VanJess with the world. The body of work is set to release on May 21, and today she has dropped off another cut to hold fans over until then. In her new song “Last Love,” she sings about the celebration of moving on:

“I’ll tell you how I feel about it, I don’t wanna feel no way, ’Cause if I’m really bein’ honest/ I haven’t even missed you today. Marathon that we go through just to keep ‘em out of view/ Every day, I’m runnin’ ‘round to keep me goin’. If I think too much, I remember fallin’. All the things I do to stop the thought of you from comin’/ ’Cause nothing gets in the way like your last love/

In 2019, Sinéad saw the release of her long-awaited debut album, Lessons in Love. The London-born R&B vocalist came onto the scene thanks to a series of major collaborations with the likes of Disclosure (“Boiling”), Kaytranada (“Heal You” featuring Wretch 32, “Say What You Mean”), Snakeships (“No Other Way,” “Rather Be With You”), and on three of Rudimental’s tracks off his UK #1 album Home (“Home,” “Hide,” and “Baby” with MNEK).

“There’s such a thin line between the liberation of having no one to answer to when you’re single, and the memory of the last person you loved,” says Sinéad about the new “Last Love” via press release. “When I’m single I fill my days up as much as possible, but those little moments where you remember being held by someone you loved can creep up. ‘Last Love’ is a celebration of moving on.”
