It’s been some months since Shy Glizzy liberated the third installment of his well-received Young Jefe series, which saw 18 tracks and additional features from Meek Mill, Lil Uzi Vert, Jeremih, Ty Dolla $ign, G Herbo, NoCap, fellow cronies 3 Glizzy and Taliban Glizzy, and more. This month, he moves forward with a new single titled “White Lie,” a Zaytoven-produced effort that features RMR.

Presumably released in lieu of Valentine’s Day, the track sees Shy taking listeners through the ups and downs of his relationship:

“I know you’re mad at me ‘cause I let you try me, and we took a lot of pictures, couldn’t let you tag me, and I pay a lot of bills, I ball like Bradley, big ole’ spot in the hills where they call me your majesty/

Heard them thugs comin’, shout out my opps, they love runnin’, I mеan, gave my heart to a bitch who ain’t got no love for mе…/”

“White Lie” also sees an accompanying visual — courtesy of Shomi Patwary — that sees Shy Glizzy and RMR somewhere in the snow-covered mountains. While RMR and his masked musicians handle hook duties out in the elements, Shy performs the track with his love interest in a winter resort. Zaytoven also makes a cameo appearance, and can be spotted playing the piano nearby.

As did Shy, RMR enjoyed a fruitful 2020 with his debut project DRUG DEALING IS A LOST ART, which saw eight cuts and assists from Westside Gunn, Future, and Lil Baby — Young Thug also joined the Atlanta-based rising star on a remix of the DRUG DEALING cut (and breakthough hit) “RASCAL.” RMR also blessed his fans with a short play of covers via the conceptual EP 4th Qtr Medley.
