TyBass unleashes new project ‘BØNNIE & BIZZLE’
The new body of work is influenced by his Caribbean heritage and Brooklyn heart.
Buzzing New York rapper TyBass has officially dropped off his latest project BØNNIE & BIZZLE. On the new body of work, TyBass aimed to pay homage to what makes him the artist he is today, fusing together the sounds from his Caribbean heritage and proud Brooklyn roots. The proof of intention is in the details, from the expertly flipped “Bonnie & Shyne” sample on the project’s title track, to the seamless sounds of dancehall, hip-hop, and drill all interwoven throughout the project.
Repping East Flatbush/Canarsie, TyBass tapped assistance from fellow artists on his wavelength. The new project is equipped with nine tracks, easing listeners in with the smooth “Intimacy,” and closing out with his bonus track “Rain Pon.” BØNNIE & BIZZLE boasts production from Joe Aste, Gvijin, JonBoyIce, Spongito, Choppy Chan as well as features from Fresh The Prophet and baby4ourn. TyBass is also a founding member of the buzzing experimental rap group NXGN, alongside Brooklyn DJ Melo-X, who most recently scored Beyoncé’s Black Is King.
The new project is a follow up of his 2019 release TyBizzle. Since then he’s dropped off a few cuts for supporters to enjoy, including tracks like “Spain” (which is included in the new project), “We Gucci,” and his Valentines’ Day two-pack Smutty V-Day Vol. 2. containing his tracks “Jaded” and “Jink Up.”
