Kodak Black is honoring the victims of the 2018 Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in Parkland, Florida with a new college scholarship. On Sunday (Feb. 14), the newly freed artist attended a socially distanced event commemorating the third anniversary of the tragedy, where he announced his new $100,000 scholarship.

“They young and none of them ain’t deserve this,” Kodak said to the audience. “They wasn’t in this life to be killed like a thug.”

Kodak dedicated the scholarship to shooting victim Meadow Pollack, who was also a big fan of his. Kodak set the scholarship up in Pollack’s name at the Southeastern University Law School, where her brother is currently a student.

“Meadow Pollack, she’s so beautiful, but the situation is bigger than Meadow Pollack,” he continued. “It’s about all of us; it’s about all the other kids. It’s about the whole school. It’s about all of Broward [County].”

The $100,000 scholarship is set up for the criminal justice program at the Florida law school.

“I’m gonna help and I hope me setting up this scholarship will make a difference for something. I just want to make a positive impact for this community,” Kodak, who’s a Florida native, added.

Since being pardoned by Former President Donald Trump, Kodak has continued to be charitable. Earlier this month, the rapper also pledged to cover the educational expenses for the children of two slain FBI agents.

Agents Laura Schwartzenberger and Daniel Alfin were serving a warrant to a suspect in a child exploitation case in Sunrise, Florida when they were fatally shot.

“He’s always [risen] to the top in terms of any kind of charities; any kind of giving,” Kodak’s lawyer Bradford Cohen announced at the time. “In fact, today… you know there are two fallen FBI agents in Broward County that had small children. We actually sent a letter over to the FBI director in Miami that Kodak is offering to pay for all three kids’ tuitions going forward.”
