After establishing himself as a prolific rapper and versatile actor, Ice Cube is getting into the cannabis industry by launching his own marijuana brand.

On Friday (Feb. 12), the founding member of N.W.A. hit up his Instagram timeline to reveal his new brand, “Fryday Kush.” In his announcement post, Cube debuts the official logo, which seems similar to the font he used for the cover of his 1992 album The Predator. In a second post, he explains that his line of weed is comprised of 46.2% THC and 10.78% CBD.

“I partnered with Caviar Gold, so you know Fryday Kush is the best,” Cube tweeted. “Caviar Gold is the original infused & only patented cannabis brand on the market. Available in CA, AZ, NV, and OK, so go get it.”

In a separate Instagram post, the BIG3 founder explains that the brand comes in all sorts of forms. The packaging also appears to give a nod to his classic song “It Was a Good Day.” “We got cones, high potency buds, and some of the strongest nugs on the market,” the rapper wrote.

The Friday actor is the latest artist to get into the cannabis industry by launching their own weed brand. Recently, there has been a wave of veteran emcees who have released their own lines of marijuana. In the past few months alone, JAY-Z, Lil Wayne and Noreaga have both dropped exclusive strains.

As the Chief Brand Strategist of Caliva, Hov partnered with the California-based company back in October to release his own line of marijuana called MONOGRAM. Then, towards the end of January, N.O.R.E announced his partnership with Cherry, a cannabis company based in Denver, Colorado. Cherry and the “Outta Line” rapper teamed up to release their new strain Superthug OG. Lil Wayne launched his GKUA Ultra-Premium brand in 2019, but the strain just recently hit stores in Colorado.
