Today, many of us will be tuning in to Judas and the Black Messiah, a film that’s both landing in available theaters and the HBO Max streaming service. In addition to that release, we’ll also be able to enjoy the official soundtrack for the movie — officially titled Judas And The Black Messiah: The Inspired Album — which contains a wealth of contributions from the likes of H.E.R., Nas, Hit-Boy, Black Thought, Nipsey Hussle, JAY-Z, Lil Durk, G Herbo, Pooh Shiesty, Rakim, Polo G, and Dom Kennedy.

One particular standout from the compilation is A$AP Rocky’s “Rich Nigga Problems,” which sees him detailing exactly that over production from Dauphin Amir and DDot Omen:

“‘Bout twelve bad hoes in my section like Vegas, a few of ‘em strangers, a few of ’em famous, when that ain’t enough and black ain’t enough, man, I’m done actin’ up, let’s hit the crib and get faded/

You don’t drink champagne but you orderin’ cases, all your friends hangin’ ‘cause they know that you payin’…/”

While not the most active emcee due to other business ventures (such as a Gucci ad campaign with Tyler, The Creator), this past year has seen Rocky contributing to tracks like Lil Yachty’s “T.D,” French Montana’s “Corner,” and “Juicy J’s “Po Up.” More recently, he also joined British star slowthai for his TYRON standout “MAZZA.”

Rocky’s last official LP, Testing, was released back in 2018 and saw collaborations alongside the likes of Moby, T.I., Kid Cudi, Skepta, FKA twigs, Kodak Black, and Frank Ocean. The project was a top five success on the Billboard 200 thanks to 75,000 album equivalent units sold during its first week of release. Currently, the A$AP Mob frontman is said to be working on an official follow-up titled All Smiles.
