Currently, Baltimore rising star Shordie Shordie and Canadian super-producer Murda Beatz are gearing up to release their joint project Memory Lane. Following the release of the singles “Good Evening” and “DOCTORS,” the North American duo deliver a new, ballad-esque cut titled “Love,” which features an assist from Trippie Redd and sees the artists singing to a love interest about forgetting the past and reconciling:

“Shawty, we in loveI feel too much pain when you’re not around me, pour the champagne when I’m in the club, I can’t, can’t run away, can’t run away from you, I spilled some paint on a mink, bitch, I’m elite, iced-out Patek Phillipe/

I graduated in the streets, critic in the sheets, better have your nails and feet done, you could bring your friend, have a threesome, yeah…/”

“Love” also sees a matching video courtesy of CatchRec and Jermane Prime, which shows Shordie and Murda as part of a wedding band, mixed with shots of the main event taking place. Trippie Redd appears while the artists are outside to cause a bit of mischief, knocking down an airborne bouquet before bridesmaids could catch it. The clip ends with a newly married couple leaving the church and riding off into the sunset — a welcome sight in the midst of more toxic imagery seen in regards to relationships these days.

A member of the moderately successful group Peso Da Mafia, Shordie Shordie scored his first big win as a solo artist via the infectious single “Bitchuary,” which subsequently landed on the 2018 EP Captain Hook. Last year, Shordie continued to apply pressure with the 13-track body of work >Music.

Fans can press play on Shordie Shordie, Murda Beatz, and Trippie Redd’s “Love” video below. Hopefully, we will receive an official release date for Memory Lane soon.
