While we’re still somewhat fresh in the first quarter of 2021, Conway The Machine has decided to kick the year off with the proper energy — new music. There’s never a bad time to get some new Conway and adding Big Ghost LTD in the mix is just the icing on the cake. Serving as the follow up to their No One Mourns The Wicked project they dropped last year, the rapper-producer duo feeds Hip Hop heads even more with the release of the follow up, If It Bleeds It Can Be Killed. Just as one could imagine, the project is all fire emojis.
Being one of the best lyricists in the game today, it’s actually quite refreshing to see the Buffalo spitter get his flowers early from folks that can appreciate the art of true lyricism. While this is a great kickstart to the year by Conway himself, If It Bleeds It Can Be Killed serves as another reason why the Griselda collective is the epitome of potent and why they will go down as one of the greatest labels/groups in the history of rap. Just last year alone, they’ve dropped a total of 10 projects — all containing audio dope top to bottom.
As we await his Shady Records debut album God Don’t Make Mistakes this year, Conway lets it be known what type of time he’s on this year and as the new saying goes, “it’s up there and it’s stuck there.” As far as endorsements go, a rapper — especially a New York rapper — can’t do much better than getting a co-sign from Nas. The Queens legend has taken notice and gave his stamp of approval to Conway on Noreaga’s “Drink Champs” show when N.O.R.E. called Nas and put him on the phone with Conway. It was hard to hear what Nas was saying, but his expressions and the salute he gave made it clear he thinks very highly of the Griselda member.
