Last October saw the release of Westside Gunn’s fourth studio album Who Made The Sunshine, which boasted 11 cuts and assists from Black Thought, Busta Rhymes, Slick Rick, and Griselda cronies Boldy James, Benny The Butcher, and Conway The Machine, among others. In a week’s time, Westside Gunn revealed two new videos from said project for “Liz Loves Luger,” which features Griselda artist Armani Caesar, and “Frank Murphy,” a posse cut with Flee Lord, Estee Nack, Elcamino, Smoke DZA, and Stove God Cooks.

“Liz Loves Luger” sees production from The Alchemist and takes on a “Bonnie & Clyde” theme — the matching, stylish clip is courtesy of Chariot Pictures. Meanwhile, the OBSCUR8 & Conductor Williams-produced “Frank Murphy” gives off warped, Wu-Tang-esque vibes with some of Westside Gunn’s coldest, heavily coded bars ever:

“Ayo, the K shooter, it’ll spray in your face like Great Muta, I break the big eight on the forty settin’ plate, I keep a bitch like Luna Vachon, take ‘em to the country, triple my bomb/

Triple H with the sledgehammer, meet me with three shooters at the rec, that’s Fed grammar, two books got me a veggie roll, locked down at ten, I got the microwave from 9:50, don’t touch my shit…/”

The visual for “Frank Murphy” is directed by Rodney Passé and stars hip hop artists Shoota93 and El Bee, who find themselves in the middle of a twisted crime story that turns deadly. None of the actual rappers on the song make an appearance in the cinematic offering.

In addition to Who Made The Sunshine, 2020 saw Westside Gunn releasing Pray For Paris, an even more high-end effort with appearances from Joey BADA$$, Tyler, The Creator, Wale, Freddie Gibbs, Roc Marciano, and more over 13 tracks.
