Since the new year arrived, Popcaan has delivered the infectious cuts “Relevant” and “Cream,” the latter of which featured fellow Unruly Entertainment artist Frahcess One. Now, he continues his momentum with visuals for the YIY CHANGE FIXTAPE cut “SMOKED OUT” and the new single “Jah Love,” which features Zamunda and Dre Island.

A proper stoner anthem, the Travis Chromatic-produced “SMOKED OUT” sees an additional assist from Bakersteez and — as you’d guess — is centered around Popcaan’s unconditional love of marijuana:

“Wah ‘mount ah buds ah weed ah roll out, roll wah yuh cut, hot leaf and skinny weed mi roll up, rolling up di highest set ah grades dem…/”

The accompanying clip for “SMOKED OUT” was shot by RD Studios, who decided to hang around Popcaan for a week as he lived his life to see just how much his chronic intake is. Needless to say, it’s quite a bit — as narrated in the video, the video team counted “47 spliffs” by Wednesday and “lost count” by Saturday.

“Jah Love” is produced by Popcaan’s Unruly camp and takes a more roots reggae-styled approach. The video shows the artists in different, majestic locations around Jamaica as they harmonize about how love and God are more powerful than the various evils that exist in the world:

“Jah love surround me like a mountain, as one door close, another open, father God tell me seh me golden, the talent yah not stolеn/”

YIY CHANGE FIXTAPE was released via OVO Sound back in August. While the main streaming platforms hold the album — shortened as just FIXTAPE — in a shortened 19-track form, YIY CHANGE FIXTAPE contains a whopping 32 cuts with additional features from Drake, PARTYNEXTDOOR, French Montana, Stylo G, Jada Kingdom, Popcaan’s Link Up partner Preme, and more.

Fans can enjoy both “SMOKED OUT” and “Jah Love” below.
