Last year saw Morray quickly becoming one of the next talents to watch, thanks to infectious singles like “Switched Up,” “Low Key,” and “Dreamland.” Now, the Fayetteville, N.C. artist makes his first entry into the new year with “Big Decisions,” which is produced by Danny Couture and makes clear what — and who — Morray’s true motivations are for success:

“I’m tryna do everything the right way, but the wrong way so damn inviting, I got a family to feed, I got a family to feed, I got a family with needs

Gotta duck low and keep my head up, fuck the ops, watch for the cops, and get my bread up, I got a family to feed, I got a family to feed, I got a family with needs…/”

The track sees an accompanying visual courtesy of CeeGee Uchiha and begins with Morray starting his day, meeting up with his crew in Fieldcrest Apartments, and going on a bowling outing with family and friends. If there’s anything to take from the clip, it’s that he has the type of love and support from his city that’s sure to certify his eventual stardom on a grander scale.

At only 19 years of age, Morray has already gained the attention of more established artists like DaBaby, J. Cole, Rick Ross, G Herbo, Tay Keith, Marshmello, Yella Beezy. and Southside — mainly thanks to the viral hit “Quicksand,” a Hagan and Ant Chamberlain-produced cut that’s since clocked in millions of streams and views on YouTube, Soundcloud, and other streaming platforms. His perfect blend of hip-hop and R&B continues to show how much new generations continue to merge genres and remain within any particular box in regards to sound.

Fans can press play on Morray’s “Big Decisions” below. Don’t be surprised if he becomes the next chart-topper from the Tar Heel State.
