Known to always ruffle a lot of feathers with his controversial takes on hip hop culture, DJ Funk Flex was back at it again with another comment that will surely have him looking over his shoulders as he trolls the streets of New York City.

While speaking to “Million Dollars Worth Of Game’s” Gillie Da King and Wallo on IG Live, the infamous hip hop DJ revealed his true feelings about Drake’s talents and how they compare to a well-respected OG in the game such as JAY-Z. He actually admitted that he thinks that Drizzy is a better rapper than Hov.

“He’s too versatile, his melodies, he has the bars, and he had the songs,” Flex said. “If those reference tracks had never happened, Drake would have been my favorite artist of all time… He would have surpassed JAY-Z in my book. If there was no reference [tracks].”

Gillie and Wallo then asked Flex to clarify if he was saying that Drake was a better hip hop artist than Jigga Man, which Flex replied “yes” to multiple times. “Those New York niggas are gonna lose their fuckin’ minds,” Gillie said once he heard the DJ’s comments.

Prior to this topic, Flex also spoke about the infamous photo of Drake rapping in the booth while holding a Blackberry phone. Remember those?

“Me and Drake, we practiced that verse in the room already. He didn’t need the Blackberry because we practiced in the room with no Blackberry. So, when the camera came out, he pulled out the Blackberry,” Flex said. “You wanna know why? Because as a rapper, if you look at a guy with a Blackberry you go, oh, he must have wrote those words.”

Tell us what you think. Do you also believe that Drake is a better rapper than JAY-Z? Watch the moment Flex said this below.
